Airports Authority Officers' Association (India) – an energetic force to represent ATSEP in India.
Airports Authority Officers' Association (India) known as AAOA(I) in short is the recognized Officers' Association representing ATSEP (CNSO) in Airports Authority of India (AAI). The membership comprises of dedicated executives in CNS wing of AAI engaged in providing Communication, Navigation and Surveillance Functions which also encompasses Information Technology and Airport Systems including security devices pivotal to overall safe and secure operation of airports. CNS is the driving force behind the successful Air Traffic Management world over and ICAO has formally recognized their role with competency based training and assessment requirements in DOC 10057. Next generation of aviation professionals (NGAP) initiatives by ICAO also focuses on role of CNS officers in stimulating aviation growth across the globe. As an ATSEP needs to understand the International and national organizations and standards, Air Traffic Services, air space standards and meteorology, it will not be a problem for a trained ATSEP to carry out the role of existing Operations functions.
Our members proudly form the backbone of Air traffic services provided over Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta and Chennai FIR regions of Indian airspace. Our workforce is present in all airports in India form part of a continuous safety chain ensuring safe air travel to the air travelers over Indian airspace and adjoining oceanic regions. ATSEP, our members of AAOA(I) are a talented lot capable of meeting all challenges of future aviation scenario in India. ATSEP provides non stress link to ATCOs to relieve their stress so that they can work with less stress. Our members are keeping an eagle’s eye watch on the state of art CNS technology elsewhere and its manifestations in aviation to safeguard the airborne traveler and aircrafts by using complex VHF based devices/RADARS/ILS /VOR/DME etc.
